I had planned to sign the whole thing (my presentation at the main conference in Malta) but given the fact that interpreters weren't present, and everyone else was going to speak in English, the session became deaf unfriendly and left only hearing in the audience. So in the end I made a statement in ASL along the lines of this blog post, but "regretfully" presented in spoken English. Does that spoil my argument? Should I have done otherwise?
